A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL

Phew what a busy time the build up to Christmas has been, after all the lovely shows and wonderful new friends Stitch'n'Shenanigans have been gained, it is now time to start to unwind in readiness for the Stitch'n'Shenanigans Christmas party. The invitations have been posted to various creatures who have been adopted Reggie the Hare has already responded with a request that a case of his favourite tipple (Dandelion Wine) is procured for him and that he is seated next Felix his favourite drinking buddy.

Now going on previous experience of this duos shenanigans I am not too sure about letting them get together to plot their next escapade!! Which normally ends up with Mr Miggins the landlord of the hopping Hare hammering on our door with a huge bar bill as well a bill for damaged furniture after their brilliant (to them) idea of playing leap frog through the snug!! As for their Karaoke well the less said the better but they did manage to make the local rugby team blush.

On a nicer note now, it was with great pleasure that announced the winner of the Stitch'n'Shenanigans Christmas giveaway competition that was held on Facebook,(sadly due to social media being big brother only a few people got to see the competition... Bah Humbug!!!!)

but of those that did it was decided that Donna gave the best response to the question posed and she has now adopted little Meghan Mouse. Meghan has been warmly welcomed into her house and has settled into a life of being loved and pampered.

With Christmas fast approaching we convinced the remaining mice to vacate the sleigh with a bribe of a night time visit to the lights at Kew gardens, they quickly decamped from the sleigh and before you could say "Cheddar Cheese" they were wrapped up nice and warm with thick coats and scarfs before jumping into the Stitch’n’Shenanigans bespoke mouse carrier

(A very old and comfortable back pack with all their comforts inside). They thoroughly enjoyed the spectacle before them and thankfully were not too frightened by the huge throngs of people who were in attendance, We did have a moment of worry as Milton mouse disappeared from sight which was incredibly worrying so with much searching and calling even having him paged over the PA system we could not find him, he was eventually located on the lake, for as we all marvelled at the amazing display of illuminated paper boats that had been placed on the lake which changed colour to some very soothing classical music Milton spotted his old friend from his days in London,... Yes, Serrelan the Swan had landed on the lake and was busy basking in the reflected glory from the lighting display by putting on his own display of bottom waggling. When Milton spotted Serrelan all the things we had told him were promptly forgotten and the 'London' in him came out!! before you could say "Oi Mate" he was off and down the bank calling and waving to Serrelan, who upon seeing his old friend gracefully swam over and greeted him with a huge wing cuddle the two old friends were totally unaware of us calling for him and would probably be there now if Millie had not spotted them, she headed straight down the bank to have a very stern word with the naughty missing mouse who came back full of apology’s and looking very shame faced he was forgiven as it has been quite some time since he has seen his dearest friend and Serrelan did come over and to spend time talking with all us while enjoying a cup of hot spiced apple juice.

This is bringing to a close this edition of Stitch'n'Shenanigans doings and dabbling’s I now have to make lots of flower cakes for the Hares, Cheesy nibbles for the mice as well as various other titbit treats for all of their friends at the party (not forgetting preparing a darkened quiet room for those that will remain nameless).

Here's hoping that you all have a wonderful and peaceful Christmas time, with a New Year that brings reality to your dreams.

I will be back in the New Year with details of top secret commissions that have been undertaken as well as commissions in progress and the details of the Stitch'n'Shenanigans Christmas party.

Have a lovely time peeps, and go easy on the Dandelion and Burdock!!!!!!!
